For me, creating stories is about eliciting a catharsis.  My goal is always to move the heart of an audience into what I call a "teaching moment" where their mind becomes open and willing to listen.  

 

By delivering something that moves and engages,  the audience becomes willing to listen to our message, whatever that is.  It is a sacred exchange that Aristotle told us about 2,300 years ago.

Everyone has a camera. It's never been about the camera.  It's the soft skills, the understanding and the trust needed to approach a story with genuine empathy and passion for others.  

My experience in storytelling crosses mediums because of this belief.  

 

Whether a graphic novel, a music video, a corporate brand piece, a culturally sensitive  documentary, a dialogue-free short, or a feature film with international celebrities, my approach  remains consistent and grounded in this ethos.

My start in the business was with Prince who kept me around because I was one of the misfits. From him I learned humility, respect, and a drive for excellence that compels me to this day.  Early work as a stunt coordinator made me understand that creating safe space, both physically, mentally, and spiritually was just as important as capturing a great image.
